My Philosophy
In assessment, identifying your strengths is just as important as identifying areas for growth. I emphasize collaborating with you and your support system to ensure that your assessment is tailored to capture the full picture of your personal strengths and challenges. I provide recommendations and interventions that fit your individual needs and preferences as informed by up-to-date research findings, and equip you with self-knowledge and practical strategies for success. Taking time to consider, acknowledge, and understand race, culture, and the multifaceted components of your identity is a priority for me.
Experience
I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Howard University (2024). I also hold a M.A. in Conflict Transformation from Eastern Mennonite University (2017) and a B.A. in History from the University of Kentucky (2012).
I have worked with individuals across the lifespan, including young adults encountering a wide range of challenges, such as attention and learning challenges, adjustment difficulties, and mood disorders. I have experience delivering therapy and psychological evaluations within various settings, including schools, high school and collegiate athletic departments, a university counseling center, a community mental health center, and the U.S. Veterans Affairs Department. I also serve as a clinical supervisor for graduate students who are learning to provide psychological assessments.
