Life’s journey presents us with a mixture of stressors, major life transitions, and many successes. I believe that we can get overwhelmed by mixed emotions and could benefit from sharing these experiences with a trained professional, such as myself. I work to build genuine rapport, provide a safe space for you to share your vulnerabilities, and unlock your potential, strengths, healthy coping strategies, and resilience. I offer a warm, empathetic, and compassionate approach to each session as I strive to understand your experiences and help you to create meaningful interpretations of life events. I employ evidence-based practices in counseling sessions while collaborating with you to create a treatment plan that’s tailored for you. I enjoy creating a comfortable environment where you feel free to identify your emotions, needs, and values, and learn creative and effective ways to manage and show up for life prepared and equipped for what life’s journey will present.

I am a dual licensed independent clinical social worker in both Washington, DC and Maryland, and a certified clinical trauma professional. I am a psychotherapist who delivers quality clinical services to children, adolescents, and adults.

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Trinity University and her graduate degree in Social Work from Howard University, where I maintain strong partnerships. I have over 15 years of social work experience working with youth and families, with a focus on helping individuals to transform obstacles into opportunities.
