My Assessment Philosophy
Every mind works in its own unique way – I help people understand themselves better through detailed testing and evaluation. Learning how someone thinks, learns, and feels is key to helping them succeed. Whether you’re a parent looking for answers about your child, or a young adult trying to understand yourself better, a thorough evaluation can light the way forward.
I focus on testing for learning differences, social challenges, emotional concerns, behavior issues, and developmental needs in children, teens, and young adults. My evaluations show how a person learns best and what kinds of supports could work well for them at school, home, or at work. By combining professional knowledge with a heart for people, I desire to help families and young adults turn new understanding into practical steps for success.
My approach to assessment and counseling involves collaboration with the student, parents, teachers, and other professionals to understand the whole child with the goal of meeting their unique needs. I take pride in creating an environment that is warm, engaging, and inclusive.
My Therapy Philosophy
Is your child struggling to manage big emotions, make friends, or cope with school pressures? I’m here to help. As a school psychologist specializing in children and adolescents, I work with young people facing everything from anxiety and depression to social challenges and emotional regulation. With a warm, relatable approach, I help kids build the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
Whether it’s learning how to manage stress, build executive functioning tools, strengthen social skills, or boost self-esteem, I provide a safe, supportive space for children and teens to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies. My goal is simple: to empower the next generation with the emotional awareness and tools they need to thrive—at home, in school, and with their peers.
If your child could use a little extra support, let’s work together to unlock their full potential.
Experience
I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with over 13 years of experience providing evaluation and counseling services across various settings. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Howard University and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Michigan State University. I have extensive experience in charter and public schools, and as a tele-health psychologist. I have provided psychological services across K-12 grade levels, with particular expertise in identifying conditions such as learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, and other developmental or emotional challenges. In addition, I have provided evidence-based counseling interventions across all grade levels.
