My Philosophy
As a psychometrist, I specialize in test administration, scoring, and collecting data and information. I support the work of psychologists in the Practice. My goal is to ensure that each evaluation serves as a meaningful tool for understanding your needs, and ultimately helps build a plan that will allow you to achieve a higher quality of life. My approach is holistic – I recognize that well-being involves both mind and environment. My approach is also client-centered – I value your individual and cultural experiences and differences. I strive to foster a safe and empowering space where you can explore and learn more about your challenges and strengths. I provide insights that help enhance your understanding of yourself and can be used to tailor recommendations designed specifically for you.
Experience
I am an advanced graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Howard University, and have provided services in various settings, including schools, athletic departments, community, and private practice mental health settings. As a former Extern at Warner Psychology Associates, I worked extensively with high school and college-aged student-athletes and clients, who were experiencing a range of academic, psychological and neuropsychological needs. I currently teach a course on psychological assessment, where I guide future clinicians in foundational assessment, skills, and techniques. I have extensive training and experience in conducting a range of cognitive, educational, emotional, and neuropsychological assessments, with a keen eye to issues of cultural responsiveness.
