My Philosophy
Is your child putting in their best effort, but still can’t get the grades they want? Are they struggling to keep up with their classmates even though they are quite smart? When they work on projects and tasks, do they often miss a step or forget to hand things in and lose credit? Is your child trying to connect with peers, but having trouble building lasting friendships? Have you, or others close to you, wondered whether you might have ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, a learning disability, or another mental health condition?
Parents know when their children are not keeping up, and are not able to be their best selves. I offer testing that answers your questions, helps your children get on track, and provides you with the information you need to understand and support your child.
The psychological evaluations I provide are tailored to your needs and concerns. The evaluation will allow me to provide you with evidence-based recommendations that are achievable and help your child attain their highest level of functioning. My goal is to instill hope and optimism in you, and to help you meet the everyday, short- and long-term goals of your child and your family overall.
Experience
I am a Licensed Psychologist and have accumulated over 15+ years of experience as a school psychologist. A native Washingtonian, I began my career as an elementary school teacher and taught for nine years. Working in the schools, I became ever mindful of the tremendous need to promote the social, emotional, and mental well-being of children and adolescents. I became a School Psychologist to impact academic growth and help children understand and access the mental health supports they may need. To that end, I have provided a range of psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults in school, home, hospital, community-based, and forensic settings
